Lynx offers a comprehensive roof truss service for every imaginable small and large-scale development; from extensive commercial projects to home builds. The process starts with your order. We then design, manufacture and deliver and roof erection service is available.

Each roofing system is individually created using our expert CAD software, PAMIR. The result is a cost-effective construction solution, perfectly engineered every time.

We specialise in two main areas:

Timber roof trusses
Feature roof trusses

Timber Roof Trusses

We design every kind of timber roof solution. From standard loose hip and valley constructions, attic trusses, room-in-the-roof trusses, trusses for home extensions – right up to complex commercial roofing developments.

In recent years, the advancements in roof design, engineering and materials has allowed for the scope of roof trusses to extend well beyond domestic use. It is not uncommon for us to manufacture timber trusses with spans up to 18 metres for commercial applications.

At the same time, we are equally happy designing for smaller domestic projects as well as large commercial ones. House builders come to us for our reliable service and understanding of their construction needs in creating the perfect roof-scape.

Feature Roof Trusses

Feature trusses are designed to be exposed as an architectural design feature of your build. Lynx can manufacture trusses for a range of spans and pitches to suit your requirements. We use a variety of different materials, like oak or glu-laminated whitewood, and fit them together using traditional manufacturing and jointing techniques (such as dowelled mortice and tenon joints).

The importance of the aesthetics of feature trusses can lead to an increase in design and approval times. These increased lead times should be allowed for in the overall manufacture programme and normal delivery from the time of approval can be up to six weeks.

Feature trusses can be fabricated from green oak materials or glulaminated whitewood. Jointing methods can vary, but will meet the approval of the client.

Roof Truss Erection Service

Lynx also offers a roof truss erection service to customers. Some self-builder clients do not have the construction experience required to fit more complicated trussed rafter roofs and roof erection. Even larger developers may need assistance with roof erection.

If you feel you may need help, let us know. Our specialist team of carpenters have decades of experience erecting trussed rafter roofs as well as installing engineered flooring systems.

The Trussed Rafter Association compiled a document on the safe installation of roof trusses, which you can download below:
